Schofield & Sims Get Set Early Years is a comprehensive and engaging early years scheme that aims to bridge the gap between play and formal learning, helping all children to become school-ready by the end of Reception. Get Shape and Pattern develops children’s recognition of colour, pattern and shape, both mathematically and in relation to the world around us. This book explores topics such as 2D and 3D shapes, repeating patterns and symmetry. A separate accompanying teacher’s guide, Get Set Maths Teacher’s Guide , contains detailed teacher’s notes, links to show corresponding pages in the activity book, and supporting photocopiable resources.
