KING HEROD THE GREAT, HIS CHILDREN & CHRISTMAS, TO CELEBRATE OR NOT TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS
(An Apologetic & Conservative Christian View On Christmas)
Author: Joseph Akunyumu-Tetteh
The book is about Christmas, the period consecrated by the Church Fathers for celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ. It is a detailed research work covering the Christmas Controversy – Whether to celebrate Christmas or not to celebrate Christmas.
The book makes two bold propositions:
1. The Christmas Controversy sources it’s origin in King Herod the Great, Though the way he handled the news about the Birth of Jesus Christ. Modern-Day descendants and children of King Herod the Great are in strategic defense of their god-father’s legacy of undermining and desecrating the Deity of Jesus Christ, as well as poisoning the Christmas atmosphere every year.
2. The format ( structure and processes) of the Christmas celebration known today sources it’s origins in the wise men (Maggi) through their mood and the way they packaged themselves to travel the distance from East (under divine guidance and by the Star) to Bethlehem, until they sighted the newly-born King of the Jews and worshiped Him. There was ecstasy; there was joy; and there were presentation of gift in worship – in all that Christmas Celebration is about
The propositions affirm the existence of two school of thought – Pro-Christmas Celebration of the Church of Jesus Christ and Anti Christmas Celebration (or the Christmas haters) of the descendants and children of King Herod the Great.
the Book concludes by drawing the Church’s attention to the strategies and weapons of the Anti-Christmas celebrants, and proposes measures for containment. This is because it is the Church’s responsibility to defend the Crown Rights of King Jesus at all times.
